This rebuild kit is for the 5 speed AX5 transmission. This transmission uses a snap ring on the end of the counter shaft and a 23mm wide input bearing (32TM03 or 32BCS4-2). It is very important that you measure your input bearing before purchasing this kit! In 1987 the AX5 used different input bearings and used both the snap ring and nut optios on the end of the countershaft. From 1988-2002 the AX5 came stock with the 23mm wide input bearing and the snap ring on the countershaft but measuring the bearing is always a good idea if you have it out to be sure someone didn't change it. This transmission was used in the following Jeep applications: CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ5, CJ6, CJ7, CJ8, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, Comanche, Jeepster, Scrambler, Wagoneer & Wranger 5 Speed 4 Cylinder 2.5L 1987-02 This kit comes with all the main bearings, input pocket needles, seals, gaskets, and high quality synchro rings.
