This kit fixes the common wear areas in the E4OD/4R100! The original aluminum clutch line regulator valves shed the hard plating on the ends, scratch the bore stick. Resulting in burned clutches and missing shifts. Replace with 3 New Hard Steel Regulator Valves that fit all E4OD’s/4R100 and fix the problem! NOTE: This kit comes with a 2WD filter if you have a 4wd please see our other listing This kit is for the Non Mechanical Diode; 2001 and later Ford went to the mechanical diode drum which is a weak spot in the transmission and builders often choose especially on a performance build to revert back to the non diode style. If you are unsure which yours is the mechanical diode has 60 Teeth on the intermediate friction clutch where the non has 50 Tooth. This kit is set up for the non which is 50 Tooth.
