In Chrysler 41TE transmissions, it is difficult to set the output shaft bearing preload and transfer shaft bearing endplay. Rebuilders often must go through many OEM selective spacer kits to get useful sizes. The preload and endplay must be re-adjusted when any of the following components are replaced: case, carrier, carrier bearings, extension housing or bearing cups.
