This causes delayed engagement and converter bushing failure. Sonnax offers an upgraded, redesigned manual valve 22771-09 that allows converter charge in park. Upgraded, redesigned manual valve 22771-09 allows converter charge in park. Manual valve can be installed without valve body modification. NOTE: To prevent converter slippage, restricted cooler flow and possible hydraulic noise, remove the cooler line drainback valve. The Sonnax manual valve 22771-09 does not require valve body rework or adjustment and will not cause the forward clutch to drag in park.
