W55 W56 W58 Toyota Transmission Rebuild Kit 5 Speed 1978-1991 This is a transmission rebuild kit for the Toyota 5 speed W55, W56 and W58 manual transmissions used in 1978-91 This transmission has the reverse gears in the 4x4 adapter or tail housing, not in the case section. This transmission has a 7 bolt front bearing retainer, a 21mm wide input bearing (HR6307NX or 6307-N) and a cast iron center plate. These transmissions are used in the following applications: Toyota Celica W55 4 Cyl 2.4L 1978-85 Toyota Cressida W58 6 Cyl 2.8L 1983-88 Toyota Pickup W55/W56 4 Cyl 2.4L 1983-91 Toyota 4-Runner W55/W56 4 Cyl 2.4L 1983-91 IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! If your transmission has ever had the input shaft replaced from the factory for any reason, there may be HR6307NX on the outer race of the bearing and 35TM11 on the inner race.
